quite some time ago, when i was about 15 i saw a silver 2 door hatch cruising thru the centre of town, i later became to know the car id seen as an AE86.
from the moment i spotted this car, i had to own one.
being unemployed and/or having a job with little security and not really in the postition to own a project car, let alone finding an AE86 for sale in little old Tasmania, i built the car part by part in my head many times over.
i finally gained secure employment some 2 1/2 years ago and it was game on.
i slowly collected various parts, both because they were cheap or because they were rare. the pile continued to grow yet still had no car sitting in the driveway.
just by chance 18 months ago, a female friend stumbled across an advertisement for an ae86 for sale locally on the trading post website, just 15mins after being posted online, within an hour of being told i owned said car.
and so it began. my build, my quest for the perfect AE86.
